Throughout the years, I have taken on numerous leadership roles. My journey began in high school with Class Office and ASB, where I discovered my passion for leadership—a passion I have continued to develop over time. Below is a list of the leadership positions I have held:
Resident Advisor
Cal Poly University Housing
August 2023 - June 2025
Building on my previous experience with the Inter-Hall Council (IHC), I was eager to make a broader impact within the campus community. I was honored to be selected as a Resident Advisor (RA) for my second year of college—a role that has since become one of the most rewarding experiences of my college journey.
As an RA, I quickly learned that the position goes far beyond enforcing policy. At its core, it’s about community building and student development. I make it a priority to learn every resident’s name and to serve not just as a resource, but as a mentor—someone they can turn to for support in their academic, social, and career journeys.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve gained from this role is the importance of empathy, especially when balancing enforcement of policy with fostering a positive and inclusive living environment. To encourage engagement and create a sense of belonging on my floor, I even developed a unique community-building initiative called Cristian Cash—a fun, reward-based system that promotes resident participation and connection.
This role has deeply shaped my leadership style and reaffirmed my passion for creating meaningful experiences for others.
Communities served:
Tenaya Hall (3rd floor Evens) (23-24 AY)
Trinity Hall (3rd floor Evens) (24-25 AY)

Inter Housing Council -
Vice President of Operations
Cal Poly University Housing - Inter Housing Council (IHC)
October 2022 - June 2023
During my college career, I was convinced at the last minute to run for a position on my community’s Inter Housing Council. Looking back, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. After winning the election for Vice President of Operations, I was excited to bring my ideas and energy to the role.
Some of my responsibilities included planning events for the community, managing budgets, and attending weekly advocacy board meetings where I represented resident concerns and proposed new initiatives. This was a fully volunteer position, but one that gave me valuable experience in leadership, communication, and campus engagement. It remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my freshman year.
Rides Team Lead/Supervisor
Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park
November 2021 - May 2022
At the start of my final year of high school, I stepped into my first leadership role, overseeing a team of more than 60 employees. My primary responsibilities included ensuring the efficiency and safety of ride operations, assisting with guest complaints, and managing ride downtimes.
This was one of my favorite roles to date. It gave me the opportunity to contribute to organizational decision-making and gain firsthand experience in customer service, time management, and team leadership. Most importantly, it taught me how to manage a diverse group of people and support their individual needs in a fast-paced environment.
